You will need to scan the barcode that configures the LS scanner to use keyboard wedge or even the set all defaults barcode. You will be able to find both of this on the product reference guide that you can download from www.symbol.com in the support page.
Hello,
it looks like the scanner lost the settings. As power is there, so connection is ok. The several (four) beeps after reading the barcode means communication error.
Please try to find the original sheet with configuration barcodes or download it from support.symbol.com website, you would need to scan the barcode for IBM PC/AT & IBM Compatibles from Keyboard Wedge Chapter.
Hello Fenandez,
there is no driver needed. Just select the programming barcode for the interface (RS232, Synapse,Wand) you want to use on your host device. You would need just the Reference Guide with the barcodes.
The host type are the Interafces which are supported by the scanner directly (no adapter needed). And the Synapse adapter can even an old scanner connect to new interfaces like USB.
As you state you have the adapter for keyboard wedge. You would just need to download the Reference Guide for the "Synapse Smart Cable" at support.symbol.com a configure it acccording to your connection parameters.
