I have a Toshiba 32AV502R LCD HDTV. After my home's power went out and the power came on, I cannot turn the television back on. Do you have any suggestions. Some sites say that some Toshiba televisions now have a full power down button which may be the source of the problem. Does my model have such a button? Thanks.
I have never heard of or seen a "power down button". Unplugging the TV and holding the power button for a minute or so sometimes will do a hard reset on the TV, is that what you seen?.
On your problem, chances are there was a spike that came down the power line when your power went out and it took out at a minimum the main fuse in the TV, you can remove the back and replace that fuse on the power board and see if it comes on or blows the fuse again, if it blows then look for a bad rectifier or shorted FET transistor in the hot section.

NO,Ur tv have problems.The Main Tuner Signal is dead,have burn electronics componnents.Still under warrenty call for service.Not Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner signal board for the replacement.

Check the fuses on the ysus & zsus boards. Are any fuses on boards open . Disconect power cabels to ysus board first {board on left} . put tv on . if the light is green the ysus board must be replaced.
