Just Download Contact2Sim from the Android market.
Go to the market and download contact2sim and follow the directions once the download completes

simple steps
got to contacts
click all contacts
click on menu
select "select contacts" option
if you want to select all then click all or if you like to choose some then click sevral and select the desire contacts
once the contacts are seleted
again click on menu
click copy contacts
and choose sim option
you will see all the selected contacts will save on sim.

Not so much a solution to your problem but if your trying to save contacts from one G1 phone to another, you can just to to the gmail linked to your G1 account. From there you go to the contacts section, and hit the export contacts button. From there you can save it to your computer or even to your SD card if you have your G1 connected to the computer. Then if you need it on another phone just go into the gmail account on your other phone and import the file that was created when you exported your contacts from gmail. That worked great to get all the contacts on my phone that my wife had on hers.

Hi. I'm afraid this is not possible with the current version of Android Operating System. Instead, you can synchronize your HTC G1 contacts with your GMail account, then through your GMail account, you can export your contacts and transfer them to another phone. Hope this helps.
