SOURCE: setting the clock

Use an Aiwa Hifi Remote Control...Turn on the L300 (without any DVD on the player). Wait until in the TV appears "No Disc" Open the tray and put a DVD from other region (not zone 1), don't close the tray!!!. On the remote control of the Aiwa press the "Clock" button, in some remote control you must do a button combination like "Shift+9" (Is the combination to see the clock, do the combination fast), and in other model of Aiwa remote control doesn't appear the clock button, you must try with the "random" button. If you do it right, in the corner of TV where "No Disc" appears it will say "adjust complete".

Sansui VRDVD 4005 Recorder

I've had this problem myself and a list of others. FYI, I've found it easier to use dvd-rw discs
for any mistakes you might make. Use Video mode (not VR mode) if you want to watch them
on a Computer or other DVD again and you have to Finalize disc. As for your problem, if all
else is okay, try removing your disc and unplugging the unit. I've done this numerous times
for odd reasons something wasn't working right. I'm not sure how long you have to keep it
unplugged. Try 10 minutes and you'll have to wait 30 minutes or more if you want the clock
to sync up on its own but you can set the clock manually. I've done this for a blinking
REC light in the VCR mode after trying the TIMER REC button.(it shouldn't be blinking
when the unit's working properly) This gets to be a pain and I've had to do this sometimes
2 days later or 6 months later. It's not a perfect unit. By the way, if times an issue, reset the
clock manually as soon as it starts blinking. This will cut your reset down to 11-12 minutes.
Hope this helps.

Firstly, you're kidding right?

If not, follow the manual which can be found with a google search if you don't have one.

Once you set the clock properly you should have no problem programming the future record time.

Good luck and please tell me you don't drive a vehicle on the roads...
