The touchscreen hangs.

Most touchscreen phones have a proximity sensor on the front, probably near the top right of the phone. This detects when the phone is near your face and disables the touchscreen to prevent you from accidentally dialing or hanging up while talking. The sensor should look like 1-3 small circular sensors. Wipe them clean, and ensure that any screen protector or case you're using isn't interfering with them.

Try booting from a Flash

Most likely the screen display had a shortcut. You need to replace it, although it's not cheap. Expect to pay a little less than the full price of the phone.

Next time spend more time drying the phone, you can even use a bowl with rice to immerse the phone and leave it dry for one full day.

Go to settings and make sure that the address book is stored to the phone memory and not to the sim card.

There might be a Flex cable that disconnected in the phone, you will need to bring it to a cell phone shop or apple to have a look at it.

I had same prob, go into set up then down to frame number n press right button n click renew n it should work fine.

the virus may have entered to the phones software this may be due to the transfering something from pc or from other phone via bluetooth,infrared....... so you will experiencing hanging when you perform some operation like going to messages or the received calls will not get disconnected or after speaking in call for long time it will get hang something like these....
so i will give you master eeprom reset code just dial it when when you r in main screen no need to dial call button also just dial the code as it is .. this will also reset the phone all passwords and codes to the default code and password.... but you will losing every thing stored in phone memory even contacts, msgs ...

Make sure to always switch off your phone by pressing the On/Off switch.
Before receiving or sending files via bluetooth, press the menu button for 2 seconds, this will show you how many applications are in use, press C to switch them off, (except bluetooth).
Check that your phone memory isn't over full with pics, videos etc...
