I cannot locate my owner's manual for cleaning my self-clean Maytag Gemini gas double oven range. I contacted Maytag and they told me the model and/or serial # is located on the inside frame of the oven. There are no numbers. Any idea how to clean this applicance? The range was purchased new in 2004.

Do you get any error codes? What shows on the display when you try? does it make any noises , like it is trying to lock? Is it a manual lock with a lever?

This sounds like your ignitor has gone out. The preheat will work because the valve doesn't have to ignite to heat to 100 degrees, but whent he unit is ready to ignite, the gas can't ignite it. If you will call or email us, we'll be sure to get the correct ignitor out to you asap so you have your oven orking right away! That code is for obstruction in the lower door lock mechanism. You need to check for a obstruction in the lower door lock. The next step would be to disconnect the power for a few minutes then turn it back on and see if the code reappears.
