Maytag washer I HAVE A MAYTAG WASHER WHEN MY WIFE WASH A LOAD OF CLOTHS, AFTER THE CYCLE FINISHES THE CLOTHS ARE STILL WET, IT DOESN'T RING OUT THE WATER FROM THE CLOTHS COMPLETELY

  • mrscjr May 06, 2009

My clothes are dripping wet when my Maytag Neptune stacked washer is done. I have had a repairman out to work on it three times now; he said someone overloaded the machine and the drum hit a trigger of some kind, which prevents the drum from going into a full spin. This has been fixed once already (the first two visits were from another problem). Since it seems like it's going to be a recurring problem I'd like to know if A) I can get to the switch, B) I can reset the switch myself, C) only a trained repairman can take care of this issue

Check to make sure the door is locking when it should. If the door isn't locking or sensing that its locked the washer will not go into high speed spin.

I have a maytag centennial washer MVWC400XWO it is 3 years old. The washer has stopped after the initial wash cycle leaving the cloths wet in a tub full of water. The washer will not go to the spin/drain...

For saftey the lid lock and lid down switch must be activated before the machine can advance to the next cycle. This has been the sequence for all top loaders..

Check the switch for the lid it is likely defective.

Make sure that the power is removed.

Simple repair by a qualified technician.

Hope this helps?

We just moved and the house came with a Maytag Neptune TL which won't spin if there are clothes in the cylinder. It will spin empty. Please help! Thanks.

Washer bangs around in spin cycle and throws a DC or UC unballance code with cloths in the wash basket is that correct?

If so it's a Clutch issue.

If you want read more about what I feel is your issue read this post Maytag Neptune load unbalance

Cloths Soaked after Spin Cycle

If the motor has a transmission, it could be stuck in 1st gear. I think the agitator running is normal.
