Go to the link below to get the most recent driver for Linksys WUSB54GC for versions 1 and 3. The site is a collaboration site that I have started to support Linksys Wireless products, especially ones with Ralink chipsets. If your wireless adapter is silver and Model No. is "WUS54GC" then it is version 1. If your wireless adapter is black and Model No. is "WUSB54GC ver.3" then is is version 3. The drivers were built form the most recent Ralink driver packages. Ralink is the chipset manufacturer of these wireless adapters...

I have a wireless-g router linksys with an older firmware dated in 2006 and i just recently bought a linksys wireless adapter for our new desktop pc that has windows 7 installed. i went through most steps...

The operating system on your computer is Windows 7 and the adapter is WUSB54GC. You are getting the Error 211 that means the drivers are not installed properly.
Though you have the CD of the adapter, you will need to download the drivers for the adapter from the web site.
Go to www.linksys.com/download , enter the model number of the adapter. select the proper version of the adapter. download the drivers for windows 7.
Now try to install the downloaded drivers. It will work.

Why doesn't my Wireless G USB Adapter (version3) work with Windows 7?

What is the exact model number of your wireless adapter?

You may refer to this link for a compatible list of devices with Windows 7.

Also, please refer to this link on how to manually install the drivers.

If you are using the WUSB54GC v3, this will work with Win 7 using the Windows Vista driver.

Below are drivers that you may download from the Linksys website for WUSB54GC v3.
Windows 7 Driver 11/09/2009 Ver.3.00.01(32-bit)Windows 7 Driver 09/11/2009 Ver.3.00.01 (64-bit)

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Linksys WUSB54GC on Windows 2000...no worky

Hi,

Did you install the Linksys WLAN monitor to manage the wireless settings? If not, I'm afraid that you won't be able to configure the wireless settings on your 2000 computer without the Linksys WLAN monitor installed.
