Good Morning Salahuddin, if you refrigerator is not cooling, it could have floating restriction in the line or something more complicated like an issue with the sealed system that only a professional can repair. This can include the compressor not working, the evaporator fan not turning, or even coolant in the lines at incorrect levels to properly cool. If the compressor is running, humming, or even a little warm that is typically normal. I suggest cleaning the unit out including the coils you can reach (typically located in the bottom behind the toe grille) and make sure no food items are blocking any vents in the unit. Also try checking and see if the door seal is bad; place a dollar bill between the body of the freezer and the door. Now close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing. If any of these suggestions prove to be ineffective, connect with a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues.

We have a Frigidaire freezer that has a working light inside but has stopped freezing. Is there anything we can check to keep from loosing all of the items inside it?

I would check to see if the compressor is running(humming or making a continuous noise). The compressor is in the back of the freezer and approximately the size of a football.

If is not running but you do have power, there may be a problem with one or more of these:
The compressor
The Thermostat
The overload, relay, or capacitor
The defrost timer
The condenser fan motor

You might need to call a repairman.

My Frigidaire 8 bottle wine cooler is making a humming noise. It still cools but the noise is annoying. What could be wrong with it and how do I fix it?

I am not familliar with the unit but I would check the condensor, clean it and be sure the fan is ok if there is one.

The freezer defrosted and now it won't get to the right temp. again. it's not even making the humming noise (although the display is working. and I tried unplugging it already)

The humming noise is a fan the circulates the freezer air. When it defrosts it shuts down the cooling cycle and turns on some heating wires. They quickly melt the accumulated ice. Then it all turns back on. Most problems take place during this time because of the rapid temperature change and the dripping water. I would 1st check out the fan. Not sure where yours is but you should be able to remove a cover and be able to see it and the defrost heater. Be careful not to get shocked, but check to see if fan is moving. Small possibility that a connect got wet and corroded or more likely the fan just didn't come back on. Needs to be replace.

The freezer has not been used for over a year,

The humming noise is most likely from vibration, check to make sure the freezer is level.

If it is level look in the back lower area there is a compressor, black component about the size of a bowling ball, make sure nothing has fallen on it or touching it causing the noise.
