My MacBook's audio still on even when harman Kardon speakers are connected to the computer.(Original version with USC connectors).

As I seem to recall the very first version was powered by the computer and as such may not be compatible with your Mac. I may be thinking of Apple's Clear speakers though? Do your HK Soundsticks have a power adapter or AC cord?

Most likely the power module needs to be replaced. You can't do that at home, unfortunately. I recommend taking it to Hi-Fi Confidential:

I need the power adaptor but harman kardon site is out of stock

we are not a parts provider, but Radio Shack makes universal power adapters that should work.

Lost the power cable from subwoofer of my harmon Kardon

If you go to the Harmon/Kardon website, you can find where to buy replacement parts.

http://www.harmankardon.com/

Select product support on the front page, then go to parts.

Then select your product as Harmaron/Kardon SoundsticksII and select your country.
