I have a GLTF2940ES frigidaire washer. I ran it on permanent press to check water level. Paused it and checked it. changed setting to drain and spin. Now when i press start, the lights go out, and no spin light comes on, and it just sits there. if i press start again it say err. If I turn it back to permanent press, sometimes it gives me the same problem, sometimes it says do, then flashes E40.HELP!

Good Morning Aaron - Based on the symptoms you are describing and if you are receiving an error code E40, your loading door may be ajar. Double-check to ensure that it is closed. If it is secure, reset the power to your appliance for about 30 seconds. You can do this by unplugging the unit or flipping your circuit breaker into the off position. If the error persists, it could either be the door switch assembly or your unit's main control board. In that case, a certified technician would generally replace the faulty part after proper diagnosis.

SOURCE: Frigidaire front load washer (LTF600ES1) Error E20

holla, Im not showing a E20 code on the tech sheet. There is a E21. Water not draining fast enough. Try holding the start/pause and cancel key together for 3 seconds. The door lock, wash, rinse and final spin leds should light. Any error codes should be displayed when holding those keys. If you see a different error code, post it. If not, I would suspect a clogged pump...Catriver.

SOURCE: Frigidaire front load washer won't drain or spin

This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.

How to reset my washer, I am having problems with the washer, it does not want to spin on the final cycle; however it does wash. what could possibly be wrong and how can I fix this?

Please remove power for a while and allow unit to drain out the residual voltage so as to reset. Now press down the start /stop buttons prior to plugging the unit. Select a different program and see the timing of the water low into the inlet and in the drain cycle. If you notice that the flow is low then clean or replace the inlet valve, check the water level controller to stop inlet flow and start wash and finally the drain and refill for rinse spin. if not there is an error in the program for the refill and must be checked on the drain and level controller.

Machine gets to spin cycle, stops, and displays Error code 20.

Program does not move on as there is data error on the spin cycle due to wrong commands from the water level sensor/ program drive.
You must see if by choosing another program the fault changes, if so the drain valve or pump is faulty.
Check for dirt in the inlet, outlet valves, clean and set.Check the water level sensor.
This must clear the issue.

Washer won't spin. This is a new problem this evening. With a load in the washer the normal high speed (or any other speed) spin is not working. We've checked the load - which is OK. Suggestions?

Is it draining the water, water has to get to a certain level before it starts to spin, even with all this fancy new gadgets it still goes by the basics.lol

Washer wont fill up, keeps draining

If the cycle does not stop draining that is usually because of a faulty membrane switch that controls the water level in your appliance.
The faulty sensor cause the machine to think that there is still water inside, even when water has drained completely.
