When you pay Nortons, they will send you a registration code. Open Nortons and click on Help and click on install registration key and enter the registration code exactly.
install the kasper antivirus software.. it is very protective for mail.. scan every new device(ie.pen drive, cd,dvd) before you access it in your system.. use only one antivirus software in your system.. If you have more than one antivirus software, it will tends to slow processing of the system..
you would have to call nortons customer service yourself and tell then you want your money back and tell them what happened

Antivirus Setup will be corrupted & it will creat this problem, Download new set up & try again. Switch of your firewall. I am also using a Nortan Internet Security.

Ok here is what I think you should do go to the symantec website and download the symantec removal utility then disconnect PC from internet run utility disconnected from internet restart pc and reinstall Nortons connect internet to pc. do your self a favour go and get a free anti virus like avast home or even avg ......or stay with that product .....used to be great in the old days norton ....now its pants system hog trying to do to much at once sorry to see you paid for what is a very bad product goood luck
now if u need to remove you need to get the unistaller from nortons
run a cleaner /and do a reg seach /and you will still find odd bits in pc years later if u dont formatt .....tc hope this helps
Ok then i guess you should try repairing the NORTON by running the installation again and choosing the reapir option or the next option is to use another anti virus.
you can visit www.avast.com/eng/programs.html and download avast! 4 home edition free edition.
please restart your pc before installing the avast.
after installing try updating and schedule a boot scan by
cutting and pasting this "W62911071H4800A1106-PJY5XRR5" when prompted for the registration key.
click on the menu icon at the top left of the avast window.
click on "schedule a boot scan" and restart your pc
