Try these steps: Turn the volume on your converter box all the way down. Turn the volume on your TV up to ½ way. Now turn up the volume on your converter box until it is at a comfortable level. More information at http://www.ezdigitaltv.com/index.html

What do ineed to watch this tv now that we have digital services

Yes you do. Not only do you need a convertor box but an antenna to connect to the convertor box. The convertor box will have to be plugged in and depending on the antenna it might have to be plugged in. This tv does allow and external antenna to be connected to it. This is where you will attach the convertor box with whatever adaptor you may need. The tv will need to remain on channel 3 at all times.

No sound on sony tv

Your set may have a choice of audio sources and outputs in the basic (initial) setup since it is not uncommon to mute the internal speakers and get your sound from a home theatre system or receiver. Also, if you are using S-video connectors between converter and set, there is no sound path, this is video only, and you will have to add a couple of cables, likely with RCA connectors, between the two.
For reference: Audio cables: Red=right channel, White=left.

Connecting a toshiba sd-v392 to an old analog tv

Make sure your menu settings are correct audio outputs may have a setting for digital or analog sound output check that these are set up to analog or stereo output .Also try hooking the sound up direct to a stereo system or amp to be sure you have output! Also you may not be able to get your sound thru the convertor box!! Because the convertor is a reciever of digital signals not a line amp. for audio !! Hope this helps11 AAAAAAAAAAAAAE!!!! Is this tv able to use the convertor box to get digital signals?

Here is the manual: http://www.symphonic.us/pdf/om/SC313D.pdf Follow the instructions for connecting a cable box to connect your converter box. Front panel buttons can be used to make menu selections if you do not have a remote.

Will an RCA Digital Convertor work on Durabrands model #1304.?.

Hello chlpepr2,

Yes it should work, connect the RCA video out (yellow connector DTV Converter) to the RCA video in (yellow connector TV set). Then connect the RCA Audio out (Red-Right White-Left DTV converter) to the RCA audio in (Red-Right White-Left TV set).

Then setup your converter box according to the manufacture's instructions.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

Hooking up a convertor , when i have a vcr, dvd player

You can hook it up through the antennae system. Keep your dvr connected to the tv the way you had it. Hook up your TV rabbit ears antennae to the converter box in the connection on the left side of the box. Then hook up the antennae lead from the converter box to your TV on the right side connector. The only thing I'm wondering is, do you get stereo sound this way and does anyone know how to get it without hooking up the separate audio and video plugs? There aren't enough connections on the tv to hook up both sets.

Convertor box and Sony Wega with PIP (2 Tuners) and new Digital DVR/VCR

I wonder if the RF interference from the digital tuner. That box will only allow ouput either through the coax or the AV ports. If you do both you will not get a picture.

If you switch them you have to tell the box what your using for output by going through the setup process.

Is the Zenith 901 converter box for your cable TV.

Dvdrecorder and convertor box

If the clarification request is correct. The only thing i can suggest is. Plug aerial into converter box. plug converter box into TV using either scart or coaxial cable. then connect converter box to dvd recorder using scart or coaxial cable depending on what you used to plug converter box into TV with. Then plug dvd recorder into TV. I don't know if you have to set-up the converter box to start receiving i'm not sure. But try this anyway.
You'd probably have been better off getting a free-view box and your dvd recorder. Because as long as you've got a free-view box you'll always get digital. Hope this helps
