your problem is most likely due to a faulty t-con or main board. The good news is that research shows that your t-con and main board are all in one. Vizio's are known for bad main boards. The question is it worth repairing? The good board from a reputable company will cost $80 plus, the prices on 32" sets are below $200 in some markets nowadays. My Vizio E322AR White Vizio Light comes on when plugged in, then slowly fades to "Off". I unplugged and replugged - same. I held down the power botton on the side, and plugged in... same. Vizio light comes on (White) and over 5 seconds or so... fades out to nothing.
Remote doesn't do anything, buttons on the side don't do anything.
Going to pull the back off and look for bad Capacitors, and test fuzes for continuity. Wish me luck ... will report back later with results.
It sounds that the T'Con board has failed. If you are not familiar with
electronics, do not attempt to repair.
Whether you suffer fatal electric
shock. Instead, contact
any experienced service technician, or the nearest service center.

The only thing I can state, is look at the manufacturer code on the back if the screen, (Westinghouse), and see if it is a replacement for the Vizio's screen.
