I have 2 of these monitors with the same problem. On power up the green led will light & remain on but the screen remains black. On one of the monitors the screen will light up for a few seconds then goes blank. Powering off/on will cause the same symptons
This is the common bad capacitor problem. The caps have died inside, and they can be replaced. If you have basic electronics skills, you can go in, order replacement caps, and unsolder and resolder. If you can't do it yourself, you can take it into a shop.
