My girlfriend has a Microsoft Force Feedback 2 Joystick that she plugs in and the light blinks red. She doesn't know if this is a problem or not, and I do not know if she tested it with any games on her computer. Just trying to figure this out for her, thanks.

I have the same problem - have lost all stick forces (everything else works fine) and the Forces self test that can be run from the original CD software says there is no electrical power. Have changed the fuse etc. but problem remains. I think something inside the device hardware is bust. Like you I cannot find anything on the Internet as to how or where the device can be repaired!

To adapt a Sidewider Force Feedback Pro Joystick to USB, you have to build this converter found here... http://grendel.koolbear.com/3dpro.htm

Just get yourself a new soundcard with a gameport on board. Disable your MoBO soundcard if you have one and instal the new one. Creative is probably the safest option. Update the drivers and off you go. Don't forget to add the joystick, the drivers are supplied in XP.
