Replacing door gasket on maytag neptune MAH5500BWW washer

I need some assistance in what I am gatting into when replacing the door to tub boot gasket on a MAH5500BWW maytag front load machine.

    Has anyone ever tried a tire patch to repair the tear???

    Same problem, but I hear water whenever I rotate the drum?????
    There is no water coming out of the main drain, where the drain pump is.
    Does it mean that the water went trough the craked seal and is stuck somewhere??

    How do you take the front of the washer off of a Bosch next 300 series washer so you can replace the door boot gasket?

I need to know what are the steps to replacing the door gasket, I would like to know what to take apart, and what not to take apart. Like a step by step lay out.

You have to take the machine apart i watched the repair guy do it las t week and they told me it never rips..... well i guess yours did too

Maytag Neptune Model #mah5500BWW We know it a bearing that's causing the loud noise when it spins. How do you remove the tub to get to the bearing?
There are 2 bearings and a seal. To remove inner tub you'll need to use a hammer/mallet or special tools, and you'll need to basically strip the washer to get to the inner tub. Maytag (Whirlpool) does not sell bearings separately, look them up on ebay, use "maytag neptune bearings" as a key phrase. IIRC, the special tool was also available on ebay for lease. Instructions on how to replace bearings are available there also. If no luck on ebay, try googlee for the same key phrase.

if you have a maytag neptune washer that ran up until now you got your money's worth,that's the machine that put maytag out of business,if it's smoking and ripping the boot it sounds like the tub bearing is gone and you'll have to replace the washer,if it's load in the spin like marbles are rolling around in it that's the problem,but i wouldn't put a cent into that machine.

I have a Maytag Neptune 1st Generation and the washer door gasket always molds, how to clean and how to prevent molding
The Maytag MAH300AWW was the first generation front load washer. Your MAH5500BWW is a much newer version and has a boot drain and door venting to minimize the mold. Just be sure your drain (bottom center of the boot) is clear. Use a solution of 1/2 cup of Granular Dishwashing Detergant and 1 cup of Chlorine Bleach added directly into the tub. Run the machine through a hot was cycle (with NO clothes inside) every few months and this will reduce or eliminate the mold.

Tub fills with water
replace water valve in the washer. Serial number is needed to find the correct part number. It's likely 22003834, but call any parts supplier with model/serial numbers to verify.

Maytag neptune mah5500bww leaking water
Here is the solution I found that worked for me, there is a small drain hole at the bottom of the boot that is connected to a drain hose. Remove the hose and clean out to make sure that it has not become plagged. replace hose and reattach boot. Mine stoped leaking imediately.
