you could use a tv tuner pci card (prob 15-30$ at newegg)... i just run svideo from the moxi to the tv card and just use composite to watch tv (u will get a tiny amount of interference on your tv but it works cuz the moxi has video signal on both jacks all the time) then i just downloaded a program to record the feed... hope that helps
Do you know what model MOXI box you have? The new remotes weren't programmed to the MOXI 3012 box. If you have the Moxi MP12, BMC9012, BMC 9012F, BMC 9022 you will need to program the remote to the box.
1.Turn on the Moxi STB. 2.Press and hold the MOXI and OK buttons on the remote until the red LED at the top of the remote blinks twice. 3.After the red LED has blinked twice, release both buttons. 4.Using the numeric buttons on the remote, slowly enter 0, 0, 4. The correct entry of this code will cause the red LED to blink twice. 5.The remote is now programmed to operate the Moxi STB listed above. Go to “Programming the TV”.
1.This issue sounds as though the TV connection circuit has an issue. 2. You have changed the DVR and the HDMI cables and you still have an issue with the video (pink screen) indicates a video circuit issue ( improper voltage or current) at the video section of the circuit. 3. This will require some troubleshooting by a qualified tech. 4. To make sure, try connecting another properly working LCD TV to the cable box or DVR an check. If you get a picture and sound properly it is the TV. 5. Usually a cable box is QA'd (quality assured) by the company and will not be sent unless tested 1st
get rid of that moxi before it starts on fire. have charter send out a scientfic atlanta hd dvr, with an hdmi port on it as well. the functionality and reliablity of these boxes greatly exceed moxi. moxi is a power sucking, fire hazard, problem waiting to happen. the only thing it has that is good is the guide format. but you may feel that graphics on a tv guide outweigh the funcitonality of the device. the big square in the front of the moxi was supposed to be a dvd burner, the box has no hdmi, and has a modem in it that is disabled. so its got a bunch of junk on it that isnt and cant be used. if you dont clean the vents on the back of the box monthly it will surely fail. senior catv tech/supervisor ALL OF US INSTALLERS DESPISE PAUL ALLEN FOR INVENTING THAT PEICE OF ****.
Is this the style of Moxi remote that you have? If so try these steps to find your TV 1. Turn on the power to your TV. 2. Press and hold down the MOXI and OK buttons.at the same time until the LED at the top blinks twice. 3. Press the numbers 9910 on the remote and the led should blink twice again. 4.
Press the mute button. If the TV mutes then press OK to lock in the
code. If the TV does not mute press the up arrow once then press mute
and continue to press the up arrow once then press mute until the TV
mutes once the TV mutes press the OK button to lock in the code. *** Note this may take a couple minutes of trying to cycle through the code list to find which one will work with your TV *****
Hold down the moxi and ok button until the remote flashes twice, then enter 9910. The remote will then blink twice again. Then go back and fourth pressing the mute button and the up arrow key(the one above the ok button)this will go thru all the codes, when your tv finally mutes, press ok that means you found the correct code.Hope this helps
