Scanner i have ricoh aficio colour copier 2132 icant use scanner

Could be faulty toners or clean contact points on the toner and machine

The transfer belt is not calibrated or the ID sensors are dirty. Read the user manual on how to calibrate it. No manual? Go to ricoh-usa.com

The Button with the green symbol on it would be the Color copy button!

The scanner home position sensor
does not detect the home position
during initialization.

Causes:

Scanner I/O board or SBU defective
• Scanner motor defective
• Harness between scanner I/O board
and scanner motor disconnected
• Scanner HP sensor defective
• Harness between SBU and HP sensor
disconnected
• Scanner wire, timing belt, pulley, or
carriage defective

Do you have the copier feature option installed?
It is most likely just a loose connection on the interface between the main printer unit and scanner section. Turn off main power (red button), and re-seat the connector.

You need Scanrouter V2 Lite software, and somebody who knows how to configure it, because it's not easy for anyone who has never used it. Also the software is not supported anymore, so it can be hard to find. It is also not compatible with Windows Vista...just FYI

The following are the possible causes of this error -yes you will need a technician:

• Scanner drive motor defective
• Scanner home position sensor
connector defective
• Scanner drive motor connector
defective
• IOB board defective

go to service program 5-810 ( sc reset) press on, turn off the machine an the turn on again. The service code should be gone, if it come back again check for a paper jammeed or wrapping the upper
fusing roller if this is not the case replace the thermistor;
