Uploading ring tones

Hello,
you can get sounds or other files uploaded as SMS tone, go:

• Main menu -> Settings -> Phone Profiles -> Normal
• then scroll down the top right arrow and select new messages
• Then Message alert tone, and then select the right bottom Sounds and then select your uploaded sms tone and press add, that's it.

you can delete the themes or the ring tones you upload in your phone ,you cant able to delete the default themes or ring tones don't try that

load your own ring tones to it from your computer with a USB cable or micro SD card. If your phone has a media player of any sort (mp3 player), then you can use these two methods to upload any mp3 you want, and assign it as your ring tone.

First go to www.funformobile.com, Go to the ring tone uploader and put the file in the uploader and put all the phone info in the correct boxes and it will text you the songs

Is this phone is equipped with a usb cable. If not you need to get one and its software will be with this. You can upload files and music mp3 through the usb data cable

SUGGESTION: Read below and I hope your problem is related to this for a fix:Make sure they are MP3 and uploaded one at at time.  You then have to move each single file you send to your phone, to the EXTERNAL memory before the phone will accept another. The phone accepts many other audio file tipes, eg .aif  .wav etc which it stores outside the MP3 folder. It will play them but unless they are in the MP3 format your phone will malfunction if you use them as ringtones (even though the phone gives you the option to save other audio file types as ringtones!). Ringtone MP3s must always be stored to the PHONE to work though, so you are limited to the number of personalized ring tones you can assign.  I can help you with file conversion if you need. HI Below is the step by step method of how to delete your ringtones in your Motorola V3: Here is an easier way to delete the ringtones without much hassle. 1) Upload 1 mp3 rintone to your phone via MPT 2) Set ALL ringtones msg, alert etc, absolutely everything for all styles (obviously excl. silent & vibe) to the uploaded MP3 3) switch your phone off, then on again. This will update the .db files. 4) Using P2K, delete all the rintones, except for the MP3 that you uploaded, do not delete the .db files. Also, do not delete the .bas files as these are the base files for Motomixer. Set all reminders to OFF. do not EVER delete a ringtone that is currently in use by the phone. If you delete it while it is active, You will NOT be able to get into that particular tone setting. 5) Switch your phone off, then on again.

There's no easy solution to this one. Motorola has blocked your ability to charge your phone and create ringtones without you buying their software. Breakdown and pay the $$ for the software or you're S.O.L.
