You will need convergence work to this unit. Not cheap.(Not recommended for DIY unless already experienced in this type work). Might contact a local servicer experienced with Toshiba & see if they can give you a quote over the phone. Be sure you are sitting.
This is probably a good time to consider entering the 21st century & look at LCD or LED flat screens.
It may be the color wheel or the light engine. Do you hear any whiring noise - more than usual from the TV? If so its possible the color wheel bearings are going out.
I'm afraid, it is problem of optics unit block (light engine), there are 3 LCDs red-green-blue for color picture formation and blue LCD sounds bad, please call local TV tech for fix. Thanks.
Hi,if its a an LCD
RPTV it sounds like a light engine problem.Basically your tv uses 3 LCD
chips that create the image .Each chip is like a tiny screen that blend
together to get the colors and picture right. They are green, red and blue. When they start to fail you will start to get color discoloration or vertical lines. You will need to replace the light engine.God bless you!
your sony LCD rear projection process your color trough 3 lcd chips, it sounds like one of this lcd chips burnt out and the only way to fix this problem is by replacing your optical block there is alot of online stores that may have them for a good price try this place
First check inputs on hd cable box then on back off tv to see if they are on tight. With you not telling us if this is a rear projection or LCD projection it kind of hard to inform what the promblem is.If rear projection its the RED CRT,if LCD then light engine [email protected]
Same thing here, not sure what is wrong...Only had the tv a little over a year..
