My tv is not switching on

Sony Bravia LCD tv won't switch on after a power failure. The LCD is flashing 5 times

    I turned the power off for an hour and when I turned it back on it was working again

It sounds like you had a power surge and the five blinks indicates that the video is not working. Unfortunately, it could be a number of things and a TV troubleshooter will have to go through the process of ruling out a problem and then considering the next problem.

Sony Tv Bravia won't switch on for days, when on only white light and sound no pictures. Help


I think fault is in electrolyte capacitor.You should check the supply volt of cathode & all relative component of RGB input.

try unplugging your t.v for a few minutes, then plug it back in. if it continues check your owners manual or google your issue. this might be the red flash of death. hopefully unplugging it works. good luck!

Hi,
If tv model number is KDL-46S2000 then 4 times blinking standby light indicates back light failure problem in your tv.
Check/ replace back light inverter boards to solve its problem.

Standby Indicator flashes red 6 times between 2 second intervals


My TV (Sony Bravia LCD KLV-32S310A) goes of after 20 seconds when it is switched on. The standby indicator then flashes (red) five (5) times then there is a two seconds break followed by another six flashes then two seconds break etc. What might have caaused this and what should i do?
