My Simpson Eziset 550 will not drain after a (normal) wash cycle. When the drain hose is lowered to the floor drain water flows heavily from the hose (gravity). When the hose is returned to the sink d

Hi Erin just read your post,I have worked on these machines alot. Now I need you to manually drain the machine of all the water. Once drained i want you to select drain and spin cycle. Now push the start button,do you hear the pump working? If you do stop the machine and select normal cycle on small water level and push the start button. The machine will then fill.Once it stops filling stop the machine and select drain an spin cycle.Does the machine pump out? Now if you do not hear the pump, could be the pump is faulty or jammed.Does the water flow very fast when you lower it to the floor? Please reply with answers to these questions and I will try my best to help you.

Machine stopped in mid cycle with the drain/unlocking light on. No error codes. Machine goes directly to the drain/unlocking position after start. Will not fill, spin, operate. Any ideas?

Good Day,
Your washing machine is fully automatic?
the washing cycle is normal?
if yes do the same maybe it will help you.
for the fully automatic washing machine mostly have drain pump, please check the filter of your drain pump, how? remove the cup of your drain pump like a ordinary cup, screw it clock wise or counter clock wise.
Remove drain pump filter and clean it, some hair pins, cotton buds or coins or any small item that coz of clog up.
if your washing machine dont have drain pump ,but fully automatic check the drain motor if running or not? how? open the back cover for top loader washing machine only, select spin cycle and press start to see the drain motor running? the drain motor is like a small box with small wire to pull the lever of the drain to remove water inside, if the motor running or pull the lever of the water pipe but water still inside the washing machine, remove the drain cup or cover and clean it or check if have coin or cloth inside that coz of clog or water stuck,
if the drain pump or drain motor is weak this is will cause and long time draining or totally not running the drain pump or drain motor and its cause of totally stop the cycle of washing machine in rinse time or spin time, because all fully automatic washing machine, after washing cycle the drain pump or drain motor must be on, to remove water before start the next cycle. rinse or spin cycle.

My clothes are still very wet even after cycle is finished. It is like they are not fully spinning out, even when I select to do an additional spin cycle. Does anyone know why?

I'm an owner as you and do all my repair on multiple FAV6800A machines.

I don't feel from the info supplied that you have a drain pump/drain line issue because you do not take a "ND" error code for "no drain" during the wash cycle.....the wash cycle completes. I don't believe you have a stuck slightly open water inlet valve in the machine because I feel the machine would eventually over fill and flood the laundry area in time.

Is there any standing water in the wash basket when you remove the wet clothes after the final Spin Cycle?

I would place the machine in Service Mode and run it thru a Quick Spin Test (with a wet load) and record the fastest RPM speed the wash basket will spin up to.

You need the Service Manual to help you get into Service Mode to do the test. Are you going to DIY or call in repair service?

If you want to run the Quick Spin test I will look for a previous post on this forum where I called out the process steps.

Washer won't drain.

My washer fills up with water and goes thru the wash cycle but when it's time to drain, it just sits there and clicks.

Washing machine wont wash or spin, just fills and drains

THE MODEL NUMBER IS USUALLY FOUND SOMEWHERE AROUND THE OPENING OF THE TUB OR ON THE LID ITSELF

Rinse water fills the washing machine when the spin cycle starts

Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.
