Sounds like a bad VGA output. Can you try another output if it has such as HDMI?

Suggest using Google to access a copy of the manual. Some units have a reset function, other are like a computer with an internal battery or reset button.

This means the system either has a bad hard drive or no hard drive. Open it up and see if a replacement helps.

Easy fix...because you are using VGA screen ...you need to push pretty fast on your remote the following ( do this twice) fast....push. Freeze. View. Return. That should fix it. If twice oes not fix it keep doing it...it will work. Good luck.
