I'm having the same problem and I've identified that the ice auger is no longer being turned by the rear drive coupling b/c the rear drive coupling is slipping on its axis or axel. There is a nut and some sort of metal clip there but I haven't figure out how to removed it yet.

The water not coming from the door dispenser may be linked to the electronic valve in the bottom rear access panel area or possibly a blocked line. ID the valve by actuating the water dispenser and listen if you can hear the valve selenoid. You can remove the water lines at the valve to trouble shoot if the valve is opening. that way you can determine if it is a blocked line or just the valve or something else. [email protected]

Have a Side by Side Frigidaire Ice MAKER and water is OK, Ice Dispenser thru the door just stopped working. I bench tested both the solenoid and the auger motor with 120Vac and both work fine.

Did you check to see if your ice maker is working at all? What are you taking voltage readings at augur motor if it is working? - does not make sense unless you have all sorts of time on your hands. Test water solenoid for ice maker?Need parts? Go to link Search Over 2 1 Million Appliance Parts

No water to icemaker, but through the door water is working. Ice maker itself is ok.

This is most likely cause because some part of the ice maker/distribution mechanism is broken. If at all possible, remove everything from the fridge and freezer and allow the freezer to thaw. If that is not possible, you could try and remove just the ice maker to thaw it or try and thaw it while it is still in the freezer. I hope this helps and have a nice day!

Installed new ice maker, produces ice slow, is there a way to adjust for faster or slower?

The water tube to the icemaker inside the refrig is frozen up. Thaw out with your hair dryer. To make sure the tube is clear. Shut of the water to the refrig, disconnect the inlet water line to the icemaker. Insert a flexable through the connector fitting, I used a zip tie. The flexable item should go all the way to the icemaker

Ice maker not producing ice, already check the basic problems,

The water tube to the icemaker inside the refrig maybe frozen up. Thaw out with your hair dryer. To make sure the tube is clear. Shut of the water to the refrig, disconnect the inlet water line to the icemaker. Insert a flexable through the connector fitting, I used a zip tie. The flexable item should go all the way to the icemaker

Solution #2 Replace the "water inlet valve" at bottom back right of refrig. Easy To Do.

Ice maker not producing any ice.

Pour about 1/2 cup of water into icemaker . Squeeze the black fill tub which is above the icemaker cup . If ice apears to be in it , this indicates that the weter valve is not completely closing , letting a drip ocasionally go thru and freezing inside the tube , ( water valve bad ) . that will be a different solution . If the icemaker dumps the cubes after freezing . and black tube is not frozen , replace the water inlet valve . If the icemaker does not dump the ice after frozen , replace the icemaker ( only 1 screw holds the icemaker in , located on rear portion on right , faceing down . Also check the icemaker rake , which should be about the 2:30 position . To thaw out the black tube (which runs thru the top of the refrig ) a 1/4 push on connector will be needed . Remove the icemaker and use a hairdryer aimed up into the hole . Cut the tubing to the fill tub behind the fridge about 9 inches from where it enters the top of the fridge . This will let warm air inside the top fill line to help thaw . Ocassionally blow thru the 9 inch tube until you can blow thru it . May take a day or 2 , depending how frozen the line is . Once air will go thru , install the push on connector to couple the cut lines back togather .

The blinking red light on the right side , is the receiver for the electric eye for cutting off the icemaker when the door bin is full , This blinking is normal . 2 blinks ...pause...2 blinks..etc .

Do not replace the filter if water flow is good thru the dispensor .

yes where thr water go\es into the ice maker is where the problem lies, take the ice maker out and then you'll see the tuding where the water goes into the ice maker. Then take a hair drier or a shop vac reversed and thae out the utde and the water will flow after it is thawed.

Frigidare ice maker making slabs of ice, not cubes

Today, I removed ice maker and auger motor. Found out this morning that water was running down the back of frig. inside, everything in freezer was frozen together. Found this out after removing all food from freezer. When i looked into the ice maker where water enters, that was frozen solid. After thawing and checking everthing. I put it back together in freezer. It is nine oclock now, and I do have cubes. I really can't tell you what I did, except thaw it all out. It's been running for four hours now and it seems to be all right.

check inlet tube behind icemaker and make sure its not froze up. If so, it may just need to be thawed out but if it happens again you will need to replace water valve.

FRIGIDAIRE SIDE BY SIDE ICE DISPENSER

Have same or similar problem. MY problem turns out to be that the Auger turns fine, but there is a little metal blade that attaches to the end of the auger and transfers the spin action into this auger "hopper" (for lack of a better term) which actually accepts the ice that has been moved from the back of the ice bucket by the metal auger and then dispenses the ice into the hopper which falls into the glass. the issue is one of crappy design. It turns out that this little blade has a rectangular opening in the middle that the rectangular end of the auger fits into. If this rectangle opening gets stripped (as mine has done, and ALL are likely to do) then the auger spins, the ice is moved forward but none are picked up by the hopper, and none (or very few) fall into the glass.
Everyone should check to see if this is the case. If so you may need to order a new blade, or a new auger, or a new refrigerator.

Good Luck!
