I had the same problem with my 50 inch Maxent, found a solution on the internet that seemed too good to be true, but I replaced a part that cost me $1.38 at Radio Shack and my tv is as good as new. Go to this link for details and even includes pictures. All you need is a scredriver (to remove back cover) and a soldering iron - repair is actually very easy. Good Luck!

Sounds like power supply switch needs to be changed to normal setting. If you are comfortable with electronics i will talk you through it if not you will need a tech or back to cosco it goes if you have a warranty.
We seem to have had the same problem. Green light keeps blinking but will not turn set on or off. I unplugged the set for a few minutes, plugged back in and works fine but will happen from time to time for no reason.
