Operating Instruction Manual NEEDED for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX40
My father got me a Lumix DMC-FX40 from Japan. So the interface of the camera and instruction manual are in Japanese. We assumed there was a language switch option, but we can't seem to find one.

The language setting is the last option on the setup menu. Press menu, then right side of the rocker for setup, then up for language, then right to set and up or down to select English, then menu to exit.
First make sure you have the correct cable for your camera. Read your instruction user manual. You can eliminate any software installation or drivers by simply using a card reader. When the card reader is connected to your computer it will be seen as a mass storage device. Most operating systems do not need any drivers for card readers. When you insert the card from the camera, all files can be copied to your hard drive and then viewed or edited as needed.
the models sold in japan only have japanese OSD and cannot be switched to english.
