RP 5011A I can not erase files on the 5001 not 5015. That is cloest model I could find.

Erasing all files in a
folder
You can delete all files in a specific
folder by the following steps:
1. Turn on the unit.
2. Select a folder (A/B/C/D).
3. In Stop mode, press FORWARD
continuously until “ALL” appears on
the display.
4. Press ERASE and “DELETE” will
blink on the display.
5. Press and hold ERASE for about 3
seconds, all files in the selected folder
will be erased completely (or press
STOP to cancel erasing all files).

it will say FIL:01 and if you keep pressing the >>| button it will go to the next file if there is one. when you see the file you want to delete pres ERASE, it will blink and say dEL:01 or 02 or whatever file you want to delete, press delete again and it will be gone. hope this helps, i lost my manual and am trying to go from memory and this thing is not easy to figure out and i am very mechanically and technologically inclined for a girl.

press the erase button, it should flash delete at you, if you let it do that to long it will go back to the way it was before you hit the erase button. to delete, hit erase on the folder you want then hit erase and hold it untill it deletes the file. continue this proccess untill all files are deleted
