Maytag side-by-side unit (model# BSD2651HEB) has power, but the refridgerator part is not cooling. Freezer is fine. Light is working in refridgerator - just not cooling. Thermostat is turned all the way up to cool, but again, is not cooling. Any thoughts?

I understand that you are having a problem with your Refridgerator. The problem is that your unit is not cooling/freezing. I have a tip that you can follow that will show you how to check the mechanical side of your Maytag Refrigerator. If after you follow this tip you can not find what is wrong with the unit you can repost with make and model of your unit.
Check to see if the evaporator fan is blowing. Sometimes removing the back panel to expose the fan and hand turning it can make it come back on. If this doesn't work then the fan is bad. Also make sure that there is good circulation to the fridge side. Food can sometimes block air flow.
sounds as if perhaps the overload replay has burnt up on the compressor, you can see it by removing the back cover, unplug unit and remove the starter from the side of compressor. if burnt up or melted youll need to replace it.. before you do i would call the manufacture with model and serial theyve experienced issue with some of these depending on model and serail they may cover repair
Pierce, there was a service bullitin put out on this model. TDR-0010A-B. Had to do with normal freezer, warm fresh food compartment. Maytag issued a kit that included a new thermostat and damper assy. to solve this problem. Bullitin came out in 2002. If you are not having a defrost issue and all fans are running normal, I would call Maytag and inquire about the above posted bullitin, It may be covered. Catriver...post back.
