The Graffiti and the Backlight applications are not compatable and must be deleted.DO a hard reset (Press power button and reset until the Plam Logo screen
shows, press up button - this brings you back to original factory
setting, and potentially undoes all the stuff you did when trying to
make the thing work), synchronize, hit home icon, press menu button,
select delete, find Backlight, hit delete, find Graffiti, hit delete,
and sychronize again.
Back where you purchased it from and ask same questions. Some TV made these days are multi language ready and this sometimes create local problems with language barriers. Alternatively, check if the store has a display TV and see if it has the same problem. I do this all the times and the store staff are helpful, even if I have no idea what some things mean in another language, they can solve it.
Holding Vol and Vol- buttons will lock/unlock the buttons. In my case, this didn't completely fix the problem - I was not able to get to many functions. I suspect it was in some store-demo mode. To completely rest, hold the Menu and Chan- buttons then press the Power button (starting from the tv being off). Pressing other button combos will put the tv into manufacturing mode (with cycling solid colors). Turning the tv off and back on will exit this.
