Ohm out the thermal fuse, if it is ok, then you can ohm out the heating element, be sure to visually check the element as well becqause it could just be shorted out internally giving you a reading, but first and foremost check your voltages be sure you are getting 240 across the outer plug spades and 120 volts from left to common and right to common, unplug this thing before you get into the element area or you could end up with a smokin fro !

My maytag neptune dryer keeps blowing the thermal fuse

Overheating is almost always an airflow problem. Check airway before the place the fuse is located and the vent pipe and vent after the fuse to make sure they are open, If the airway is clear, the thermostat may be allowing the heating element to stay turned on until the dryer gets too hot,

Blowing cold air

This model dryer has two heating elements, one for the top and one for the bottom, I suspect that the bottom element is burned out. If you want to attempt it yourself then I can send you a service manual that will walk you step by step through the whole dryer.

Maytag epic front load electric dryer is turning but only blowing cold air ?

Unplug dryer. Remove heater element, and inspect element for damage. Use an ohm meter to check for continuity. Should have some resistance. Should not be open or short.

I have a Maytag Neptune electric dryer model # MDE9700AYW and I have a fault code " FE " & the dyer doesn't dry the clothes. What is my problem

Maytag Dryer and FE code means power source "Frequency Error".
Invalid power... you will need a electrican to come out the power is not wired up right.

I would replace the wall receptacle before buying any dryer parts
Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).

I need to know how you would replace the heating element on dryer model Maytag MDE9700AYW.

First you take off the top panel two screws then four qr five screws to take off console then four screws top of front panel and two scews just below your filter on front panel and you have access to your element

Hi, my Maytag Neptune gas dryer will not heat up anymore. When the machine start to run, you can hear the gas is burning & the heat is blowing from hot to warm to cold in about 60 to 90 seconds that is...

The thermal fuse is NEVER at fault, it is only a symptom of some other problem and is a serious safety warning. Check that the exhaust vent is clean and not kinked or otherwise obstructed. When WAS the last time you cleaned the vent??

The dyer blows cold air - no heat

PROBLEM WITH THE HEATING ELEMENTS, THEY ARE PROBALLY BURNED OUT, CHECK THEM YOU WILL HAVE TO PULL THEM OUT AND CHECK WITH A METERN TO SEE IF THEIR OPEN, BUT I WOULD SAY THATS IS THE PROBLEM

The dryer will not heat up to dry clothes

youve probably got a bad heating element, also make sure air is blowing out back of dryer to the outside of house if its plugged it will cause element to break good luck

My Whirlpool Duet Dryer is not heating up. Unit is only Two year

If it is a gas dryer. Sounds like thermal fuse. It costs about $12.95. Most appliance part stores carry it all the time. Very easy to replace. Also can be ignition switch (also cheap). If you know someone who is mechancally inclined, after removing fuse, they can run an electrical jumper cord to the two open ends. If the dryer begins drying, then it is definitely the fuse.
Go to Whirpool site and get part number and diagram to fix. Maytag repair can help at a costly figure after they order part since Whirpool bought Maytag.
