Unable to figure out how to inflate a bike tire

Hello,

I purchased the Schwinn airdriver 1100 and I am unable to inflate my daughter's bike tire.

Some detail instruction with pictures could help

Thanks
Barbara

I bought my pump at Target.  Unfortunately, it did not come with a manual.  I was unable to inflate our bike tires. I took apart the tip and now it will not go back together.

Could this help?

  1. Have the lever on the pump head pushed down, flat against the pump head.
  2. Push the pump head FIRMLY onto the tire valve.
  3. While still pushing firmly, flip the pump head lever up to lock the pump head onto the tire valve.
  4. Inflate to desired pressure.
  5. When finished, push the pump head lever back down and pull the pump head off the tire valve.
(Once you hook the pump up to your tire and start pumping, the back pressure will switch the flow to the bike valve output.)

I need to figure out what size tire and tube my Schwinn unicycle needs didn't have tire

Take the bike rim to a bike repair shop and they should be able to measure it and get you the right one. Most time if they see the make and model they can tell.

What is the air pressure or psi for a schwinn bicycle called discovery 700c

All tires have the maximum inflation pressure molded into the sidewall.Try inflating to about 5psi below the max as a start.(My 26" tires are "MAX INFLATION PRESSURE 65PSI",I like it at about 50psi.

I purchased a Schwinn bicycle pump, but I'm having trouble determining how to use it to inflate my standard bike tires. The instructions that came with the pump assume that I know the name of the type...

There are only two types - presta and schrader. If the instructions named them you could just Google them for descriptions and all kinds of other answers. The schrader is what we think of as the automotive style.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schrader_valve

Back to the search engines, "how to..." usually finds answers, such as "how to inflate a presta valve tube".

I just purchased a Schwinn "Safari" 16" boys bike

Why do you need the manual? It is more than likely a coaster brake bike, and a users manual is not going to answer any technical stuff anyway. If, you are concerned with the safety of it, go to a Schwinn bicycle dealer and have them check it out. Tire pressure is on the sidewall of the tire.

Instruction for schwinn bike odometer

find the circumference of the tire (measure the radius and multiply by 2 PI or 6.28) and convert it to millimeters--thats the number you put into the computer. I think you should get about 2154 mm depending on your tire inflation, but that doesnt make that much difference.
