don't touch the back, there isn't a belt in kenmore washers and don't touch the back panel, there are white covers on each side of the top panel, pop them off and remove the two phillips screws, one on each side, then flip the panel up,with a screw driver pop the two metal clips, just stick the screw driver in the hole and on top of the clip and push back to the wall and the clip will repease, now in the middle of the clips you'll see the lid switch connector, separate it,open the lid and grab the frame, tilt it up and back at you and remove the frame,on the bottom you'll see the pump, remove the two clips and pull off the pump, then remove the two screws and pop the two clips and slide out the motor,on the back of the motor you'll see the coupling, that's what broke, you need to replace the motor coupling
Hi, Remove the cap on the agitator and then remove the inside cover. There is a 7/16" bolt under the inside cover. Remove the bolt and the agitator will lift out. Seperate the 2 pieces of the agitator and replace the dogs. You might have to use a flat blade screw drive and punch out the 4 tabs around the bolt hole in the agitator if this applies.
