If you cant manually turn your auger motor, it may be bad. Does it dispense solid ice or no ice at all? Another thing may be your control panel. That could be bad too, it's the one sending juice to both your solenoid and auger motor.

SOURCE: Temperature and adjust refrigerator panel does not work.

problems exist in its electronic control panel that is damaged, this problem should be solved by replacing one block electronic circuit in the control panel. damage is usually caused by a memory of the troubled program. actually if you know you can fix the electronic control panel of the electronic circuit itself, simply replace the IC EEPROM or memory alone. follows with Cristal oscilator usually must be replaced too

SOURCE: How to remove front panel from ge ice maker model PSS26SGPASS

If you are talking about the ice/water dispenser palnel, on my PSF26NGPABB Arctica it just pulled off. there is double sided tape all the way around it and I used a thin, sharp knife to cut it as I pulled the panel off.

How to remove front panel on GE model GT65EBMK0DG dryer

GTD65EB - if this was your actual model number line, which you seemed to be missing, you need to take off the shoulder 1/4 screw in the back on the control panel, then remove the control panel pushing away fromy you, then your remove the two philips screws located under the control panel, open the dryer door, then remove the two philips under the lid, then move the lid back and then remove the two shoulder philips screws holding on the front of the unit. then pull the front of the dryer towards you, then remove the dryer front by pulling up, disconect the door switch wire, and the lamp wire on the top if yours has a door lamp. make sure its unplugged before attempting, if you have issues call GE appliance service for repairs.

GE Adora model #DSS25KSRASS side-by-side - the refrigerator side is not staying cold and periodically quits working

This is a very common problem that comes with your model refrigerator. I need you to pull the refrigerator away from the wall, unplug power, remove the panel covering the compressor and feel the top of the compressor. Is the compressor too hot to keep your hand on the top? What I believe is happening is the control board or the start components are defective causing the refrigerator to cool off and on or periodically as you said. The solution may require a new control board=> WR55X10942 Main Control Board

Should you choose to repair your refrigerator I will happy to answer your questions. This model GE refrigerator has caused many complaints because of the expense and frequency of this type of repair. Many home owners are better off with a refrigerator that does not have a motherboard and uses simple defrost timers or defrost control boards. Here nis a link to a=> DSS25KSRASS Service Manual

How do you take the front cover off the door to replace the ice flapper door

Can you provide the model number to your refrigerator? With the model number provided I can look up the schematic to your unit showing how to remove the front cover off your unit. It basicly snaps off the front panel but I think if I provide you a schematic this will give you alot better visual solution to removeing the front cover. I await your reply Thanks Rick

GE refrig Model # GSS25WGMD WW freezer is cool, compressor is running, but food is thawing out, ice has melted...not sure if I left door open ovenight, should I call repair..show long does it take to...

I pulled the refrig out from the wall, turned it off, took off the back panel (that covers the compressor fan and motor) and used the attachment on my vacuum to remove the dust from the area. Then I closed the flapper that allows the ice to release from the ice maker compartment to the dispenser, so no warm air would get into the freezer area. I plugged the refrigerator back in and within an hour it was freezing again! So far this week, I have had to repair the garbage disposal and the refrigerator.....I saved some nice $$$ by figuring this out by myself!

Refigirator is freezing my liquids on top shelf only

If its anything like a GE refrigerator, there is a flapper valve between the freezer and refrigerator that controls the temp of the refrigerator compartment. There should be a plastic shroud at the top refrigerator compartment against the freezer wall. Remove it and see if the flapper is broken. Usually you can epoxy the flapper or if not, buy a new part.
Keep in mind my experience is with a GE, but I think its pretty much the same machine.

GE GSS25LGMA WW FREEZES FOOD

These refrigerator use the cold air from the freezer the cool the refrigerator. At the rear of the upper refrigerator compartment, there is a shroud. Remove the shroud and you should see a "flapper" that shuts off the cold air when desired. You will most likely see the flap is broken. Once the flap is broken, you lose control of your refrigerator temp. This is a common problem with this refrigerator.
Hope this helps.

The control panel light blinking and ice trap door will not close

Sounds like you need a new display pwb. The flapper for the ice works on a solenoid which is on a little board that is behind the display board. When the power is cut the flapper should close as it is on a spring. I don't believe that there is any worries of it catching fire. Have a tech come and replace the board for you.
