Don't know your setup but have you checked out any possible Hum loops? Have you updated any firmware updates? Is your mains input clean (no spikes or very short drop outs of voltage)? Are you near any possible RFI, e.g. Taxi's or CBr's? The list goes on so check out the Mackie forum on the web for more. Good Luck...
Regards,
Frank.

Mackie mixer will not work with windows 8

well depending upon the mixer and windows version you may have issues. Windows 8 is a 64bit platform, your mixer may only have 32bit drivers (x86). Try visiting the mackie forum for your mixer.

When i start my mackie my mic is doing great after 2 minutes my sound freeze . what can be the problem i have to restart my mackie

You do not give enough info to even start suggesting answers. What are you using (model numbers) and what do you mean by freeze? Is it stopping and a constant note coming out (of what) or is it going quiet. etc. Please give all the info you can about the equipment you are using and the detailed symptoms

My d8b runs and after 5 mn freewes. No more input or output. All the leds on the board go off and no button is active.

I suspect the power supply is shutting down... may be overloaded due to failure in the board or a failure in the supply itself. The time delay before failure is indicative of something heating up causing the delay in failing.
DO verify the power source is good. ALSO verify that ALL interconnected equipment such as the board, amps, powered speakers ALL are powered from the same receptacle or power source.

I have a Mackie d8b, not getting any signal no matter what we try.

This is vague,,, there are so many outputs, knobs, LED's that I suspect you have not tried the right combination. I have no idea what your signal sources are... mics... tape... etc.

To start, turn the trim control of one channel that you have a signal source connected. Set all the EQ controls and the pan CONTROLS TO 12 O'CLOCK.

Check that you can trigger the clip light with high level of input. Press the solo button for that channel and using a set of headphones listen for any signal... turn the headphone level up and the slider for that channel...

First do your basic checks,,, try EACH mute button and see the LED light... try each solo button and see that each will light AND also that ANY solo light will cause the RUDE solo light to come on...

I cant get any sound to come through my Mackie d8b mixer any ideas?

I have one of these, you may have a problem with a capacitor, they tend to go every 5 years or so. its a back to base job, but you probably dont need to send your cpu, just the mixer unit.

No volume control with 2 faders on Mackie CR1604 mixer

If all other functions work for those channels, the most likely problem is the fader itself. These can fail and operate more like switches rather than faders. Without witnessing the behavior, I can not state that for sure. While these mixers are not the hardest to work on, they are time consuming. The faders can be purchased from Mackie directly. If you need to have this repaired, any shop that repairs audio gear should be able to erpair this for you. Where are you located?
