Items to check would be ,
1 Is the filter restricted with sediment in the water?
indicator would be water flow decreased thru door dispenser.
2 Is the tap a line (if used) restricted with mineral deposites where the sleeve pierces the water pipe.
3 is the valve itself restricted with sediment due to not using a filter?
4 a kinked water line (copper) or pinched plastic line could also cause this problem.
eliminate each and you should find the problem.
I found with most things that stop working suddenly, I first recall any recent changes/ updates. What Electrical additions plugged in or unplugged? Any visitors who might have flipped a switch, tinkered with or bumped the devices controls? this works for computer software too. What was recently installed or removed? 1. If the Icemaker metal arm is up, Ice Maker thinks it's full, Answer: lower the arm 2. Visually check the plastic water trough that feeds water into the ice tray. Careful never to use sharp metal to remove ice from it, since gouges or scratches will remove the teflon coating, allowing water to freeze in the scratch tracks, therefore building up ice to block flow again. 2. If the water supply is kinked, no water can get through. Answer: Carefully pull Fridge away from the wall far enough to inspect the water line for blockage. (Warning: un-kinking copper coil can lead to leaks and breaks!) 3. Water supply has been turned off or blocked at the source. A: Back track to the source for blockages, breaks or if turned off. The water is usually supplied via 1/4 inch saddle valve attached to a vertical cold water pipe and by code should be accessible. Most are found attached to the cold water inlet pipe above the hot water heater. (Warning: these valves commonly leak when turned off, since they are always in the 'open' position for years.)
First check the water flow.Is the water flow running. If the water flow is blocked then no water will enter the dispenser. If water is running properly but its not entering the water dispenser then check the water tube,is it kinked or got loose or got blocked. But if water is running ok,and water tube is proper and not blocked or kinked. Also connected properly to its hose Then the possibility is water valve, this is at the back of the ice maker unit. There is a twin valve, which lets the water enter the ice dispenser and water dispensing unit. But if the valve is blocked from one side or faulty then it will not let the water to get dispensed. Also in some cases the ice gets clogged in the water fill tube and this creates the problem. If there is ice frost problem then you can use hair dryer to melt the ice collected in the water fill tube. But take care you unplug the unit from main power outlet before doing this. Its for safety reasons.
If the valve is faulty then it has to be replaced. And you can get required parts from online sites like, sears parts direct or from repairclinic.com

This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
The water control valve can get clogged or fail. Follow the line from the supply( did you check for filters there?) to the bottom of the fridge. The valve may be just like the one on a washing machine. It has a wire filter in it too. Test it for flow, unhook the pipe to the ice maker and see if water comes out of it when it is energised. I made a test energiser out of a power cord with the same connectors that the valve has.
look in the refrigerator take the buttom bin out check the back wall you will see the water line if not frozen press for water and hear if the water valve come on
The ice maker is not producing ice or not enough ice
Refrigerator connected to a water supply and the supply
shutoff valve turned on? Connect refrigerator to water
supply and turn water shutoff valve fully open. Kink in the water source line? A kink in the line can reduce
water flow. Straighten the water source line. Ice maker turned on? Make sure wire shutoff arm or switch
(depending on model) is in the ON position. New installation? Wait 24 hours after ice maker installation
for ice production to begin. Wait 72 hours for full ice
production. Large amount of ice recently removed? Allow 24 hours for
ice maker to produce more ice. Ice cube jammed in the ice maker ejector arm?
Remove ice from the ejector arm with a plastic utensil. Reverse osmosis water filtration system connected to
your cold water supply? This can decrease water pressure
OR
The water dispenser will not operate properly
Freezer door closed completely? Close the door firmly. If it
does not close completely, see “The doors will not close
completely.” Refrigerator connected to a water supply and the supply
shutoff valve turned on? Connect refrigerator to water
supply and turn water shutoff valve fully open. Is the water pressure at least 30 psi? The water pressure to
the home determines the flow from the dispenser. See “Water
Supply Requirements.”
Kink in the home water source line? Straighten the water
source line. New installation? Flush and fill the water system. Water filter installed on the refrigerator? The filter may be
clogged or incorrectly installed. Is a reverse osmosis water filtration system connected to
your cold water supply?
GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!! LET ME KNOW IF THIS SOLVED YOUR PROBLEM
