Do you really need the Canon software?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Reset windows 7 password hp

Hello,

You may try the below steps to reset or recover the windows login password:

1) Insert either your Windows 7 installation DVD, or a Windows 7 System Repair disc, into your optical drive and then restart your computer. If you have either on a flash drive, that'll work too.

Note: If you don't have original Windows 7 media and never got around to making a system repair disc, don't worry. As long as you have access to any other Windows 7 computer (another in your home or a friend's will work fine), you can burn a system repair disc for free.

2) After your computer boots from the disc or flash drive, click Next on the screen with your language and keyboard choices.

Tip: Don't see this screen or do you see your typical Windows 7 logon screen? Chances are good that your computer booted from your hard drive (like it normally does) instead of from the disc or flash drive you inserted, which is what you want. See the appropriate link in the tip from Step 1 above for help.

3) Click on the Repair your computer link.

Note: If you booted with a system repair disc instead of a Windows 7 installation disc or flash drive, you won't see this link. Just move on to Step 4 below.

4) Wait while your Windows 7 installation is located on your computer.

5) Once your installation is found, take note of the drive letter found in the Locationcolumn. Most Windows 7 installations will show D: but yours may be different.

Note: While in Windows, the drive that Windows 7 is installed on is probably labeled as the C: drive. However, when booting from Windows 7 install or repair media, a hidden drive is available that usually isn't. This drive is given the first available drive letter, probably C:, leaving the next available drive letter, probably D:, for the next drive - the one with Windows 7 installed on it.

Hope this helps..

Hi I have A Medianpc the system model is a AWRDACPI X86-Based P.C. Do I have to update my bios to install windows 7.If so please could you advise me.

Hey, no you dont need to update BIOS to install Windows 7 but i would recommend doing it anyway. Its always good practice to have latest version of drivers and firmware as they usually fix bugs in existing in older versions as well improve performance.

As for your CDs i would look at the Optical drive you have and perhaps use another computer to copy the Windows 7 to bootable USB drive and use that to install Windows 7.

Hope this helps.

The Windows 7 product installation code is supplied when you purchase the Windows 7 OS software.
If Windows 7 is already installed on your computer, the product installation code is on the Windows label that is attached to your computer.
If you cannot activate the Windows 7 operating system and you get a message that this is NOT a Genuine Windows installation and you have the Windows 7 label then you need to contact Microsoft to as for help to activate your Windows 7 license.

I have want to setup Windows xp and windows 7 together .Meaning when start up computer have : Windows xp Windows 7 I try to setup two windows ,but i setup windows xp lost windows 7 and setup windows 7...

Not sure what you have done so far. You need to divide your hard drive into two sections. Install XP first on to one section. Then use a program to manage your computer start up, the one I use is called Easy BCD this is a free program and works great. Once you cut your hard drive and install XP make a copy of your start up partition. Install the Easy BCD program and make a back up again. Then Install Win 7. Then on the Win7 side install the Easy BDC program and set up the menu choices. I run a 3 way boot with XP and Ubuntu. Hope this helps Fix Ya up.
