    leak out bottom

  • Anonymous Mar 16, 2014

My machine has recently started to leak a small amount water from the bottom . I have checked the hoses and they seem fine. Also after finishing the final spin drying cycle when I rock the bowl there is a sloshing sound .Is this normal to have some residual water left in machine.

I have a Maytag PAV 3200 - it won't DRAIN. Was told to check the filters & the drainage?
Need to know where the filters are located (obviously one will need to remove the sides of the machine) & I assume that the drainage area, will be at the end of the drainage hose?
    thanks

water is draining slowly in every cycle...

  • Anonymous Mar 27, 2014

No water coming in but will run on spin. Add water by hose into the tub and it runs. Replaced control timer with no difference. No hot or cold water coming in. Is it the level control switch or the temperature control switch? Washer probably used 20 times in last 2 years.

Possible that you would have a tub seal leak if it is only noticable during spin cycle. Possible that it "drips" slightly while in agitation, but not enough to notice it. While in spin mode you have a lot more parts moving as well as a lot more water pressure on the seal itself. Pump could also be leaking, but highly doubtful since it would leak a constant amount at all times. Good Luck!!! Jim

Water leaking from my Maytag Neptune model FAV6800AWW Serial number 15646382GA Leaks during wash cycle imediately and during complete cycle. Enough water to saturate 2-3 towels and clothes come out...

Could be a Tub Seal leak my 1st choice. Could also be a leak caused by a cracked outer tub, issues from the hoses from the drain line connections to the drain pump, drain pump and or drain line.

Are you going to try to DIY the fix?

Water coming out of the botton during spin cycle

Take the bottom panel off the waher, put water in the machine, and watch to see where it is leaking. If you don't see a leak during the regular cycle, put the machine in drain and spin mode, and watch for leaks there. You should find your leak during one of these cycles so you will know what part you need.

WATER IS COMING OUT FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WASHING MACHINE ONCE THE WASHING HAS STOPPED, IT DOES NOT LEAK DURING CYCLE AND IT SPINS AND DRAINS FINE..

i would inspect both the hoses on the pump
no leak during cycle is explained because water is moving through them to fast to leak when the machine settles it starts to leak

Leaking

The pumps usually have rubber hoses fitted them and they can deteriorate over time, moreso around the clamps that hold them onto the pump. Also, maybe the pump has been slightly opened via a worn seal. Either way, there may be a risk of fire if any water gets onto the electrical connections of the pump or spray onto any other open electrical connection inside the machine. It would certainly be advisable to have it checked with some urgency.

During the final rinse and spin, I would think the pump may not be used during these cycles.

Hope this helps somewhat.
