Washer overflowed after moving Load Capacity Switch from Super to reset and then to Large load?

On this model of washer you have 4 separate components that could cause overflowing. The water valve, pressure switch, pressure switch hose & the air dome. If you have to turn the water off to prevent overflowing, I would recommend replacing the water valve. If you can turn the timer off & the water stops overflowing, I would recommend checking the pressure switch, hose & air dome.

Washer overflowed during wash cycle

Hi, The first thing to check is the pressure switch hose. It goes from the pressure switch in the control console down to the airdome on the tub.
If it gets pulled loose, gets a hole in it, or gets clogged with lint or soap scum, the pressure switch will never sense the water level and turn the water valve off.
If the hose is ok, then you probably have a failed pressure switch.

The water keeps running and overflows the tub

Check for a faulty water level/pressure switch. This is a diaphragm like device with a small plastic tube (which you were blowing into) attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level rises, so does the pressure on the air in the plastic tube and when it reaches a certain leve it activates the switch to shut off the water. Make sure there is no obstruction in the tube and that it is not damaged in any way. The switch can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter and checking continuity. A lack of continuity will mean a bad switch. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Washer tub overflows and wont stop

The water level in a washing machine is determined by the pressure switch. The switch is located behind the load selector, water level, load size (has various names depending on model and manufacturer) knob on the operator console. If the switch malfunctions, the water will not shut off and the washer will overflow.

Now...before assuming the switch is defective, a common problem that occurs is the small air hose on the pressure switch coming loose or leaking. This air hose attaches from the wash tub to the pressure switch. The pressure swtich senses the change in air pressure as the tub fills and shuts the water off at the selected level. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r762094-washer_overflows

To access your pressure switch, unplug the washer and open the operator console. Look for a clear plastic hose. If it is NOT attached, you may have found your problem. Reconnect and test operate.

If it IS attached, check the entire length of the hose all the way to the wash tub for any cracks of leaks. In addition, remove the electrical connection(s) and check for corrosion. Clean if necessary.

If all these preliminary steps don't solve your problem, replace your pressure switch. Read through the link I provided and let me know if you have any questions. I hope you find this information helpful.

Wrong water level

sounds like a water level issue, it located behind the console2.gif . before replacing switch check the clear plastic tubing going to it for any cracks or holes, and make sure its attached to the rear of tub properly. air pressure goes up that tube tripping off switch so check it first.

Overflowing water

If the water comes out when filling, check your water valve by unplugging the washer when it is filling. If the water still runs, replace the valve. If the water stops, check the small tube that goes from the water pressure switch (in the consul) to the bottom of the tub. This must be connected without any holes or obstructions. If this is ok, replace the water pressure switch.
