Motorola rokr e8 date and time will not change

Everytime I try to change the date ad time on my phone it will not change. it keeps saying it's 1970. I have tried the master reset but it still won work.

    Scroll to and select Settings.

    Scroll to and select Phone Settings.

    Scroll to and select Time & Date.

    Scroll to and select Time.

    NOTE: If necessary, select Yes to turn off auto-update.



    IF ITS OFF TURN IT ON



    Select Time.

    Press the Up or Down Navigation keys to set the time.

    Select Set.

Please try this steps, it fixed my motorola ROKR E8..

At the main screen, select Main Menu
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Phone Settings.
Scroll to and select Time & Date.
Scroll to and select Time.

Cannot change date and time its set to 1/1/1970 and every time i switch off and on it resets to same 1/1/1970
Ah! was only 26 at that time! you're making me feel old- which i am.
however, when you set the date, look for an 'accept' or 'o.k.' choice, after you change settings. seems that it's returning to 'default' date- who the heck had a cell phone in 1970!?? unless they towed it in a trailer behind their car!
