Hey! I just got the PRO 700. IT DOES NOT USE SIM CARDS! instead like the other sprint phones it uses the ESN/MEID number on the back. Just call sprint and tell them you want to do an ESN SWAP or SWITCH TO A NEW PHONE and they will ask you for the number under the battery. They will also walk you through activating everything including Direct Connect. It is as fast as Nextel traditional Direct Connect but it has a MUCH LARGER COVERAGE AREA FOR VOICE AND DIRECT CONNECT. Soon these phones will take control and the whole IDEN network Nextel uses will be converted to CDMA (sprints High Speed Network).

Are you sure the phone uses a SIM card at all? Unless something has changed recently, Sprint phones do not use SIMs. You would need to speak to Sprint to confirm.
The Sanyo PRO-700 is like all Sprint phones and uses the CMDA network so no Sim card is used. You can take the phone to the Sprint store and have the clerk's use the transfer machine and that should delete the duplicate entries.
hopefully you are Sprint client........ have them do transfer all your contacts for you, it will be done 30 - 60 mins depending on how many you have and how many customers are ahead of you

Remove the battery from the phone. Let it remain out of the phone for 10 minutes with the phone off. Replace the battery and turn the phone on.
This is a problem with the phone trying to read the SIM card after being in another phone. Be patient. It may take several minutes for the phone to read the SIM.
Sorry, there is no special code. You can only use the correct Sprint Nextel SIM Card with this phone. If you are using the correct SIM Card, you will need to have this repaired at a local service center. This is covered completely by Sprint Nextel's ESRP (Equipment Service & Repair Program) and TEP (Total Equipment Protection), and can be done at any Sprint Nextel Service & Repair Location. If you do not subscribe to ESRP or TEP, the charge for the repair will be no more than $55.
