How old is your cable? How old is your outside anteena? After awhile they need to be replaced or connections checked. In my area the tv has been going out for hours while they work on it. But you seem ti indicate that is not the problem. What type of cable are you using? An which connectors? Need more info
Are you on cable or Arial If on Arial you may have to turn the head one way or the other to get the program to come in also weather conditions have a lot to do with this.Weather effects the cable reception as well. If the TV works most of the time but not other times it could be the weather. or a weak booster on your areal
Hello! I don't think, that "antenna" has something to do with that. Unless you forgot to change reception mode to Digital TV(broadcast). your display should show channel ## looks like: 3-1, or 3.1 an so on. also, the menu on TV must be shown clear in any case. If that's not a case, all you see is just those lines, blame the TV itself. T-con module or display panel is at fault. Try to run DVD player via TV. If you still see those lines, TV needs repair. Thanks, Alex.
You might want to consider if this is a Cable box/TIVO issue before blaming the receiver. After all, if you can pause and rewind live TV you're probably watching all content through the hard drive.
Or suspect a marginal connection from the TIVO to the receiver if that is what you have. Does the receiver give any indication of digital signal loss when you lose audio?
I skip some of this exposure by running the video staright to the TV (the more interconnects, the more opportunities for problems).
You will get signals wit a digital receiver...however, depending on weather, you may have to relocate it from time to time. You will only get about 13 channels on a good day..1 or 2 analog and digital FTA..free to air..and yes, the cheap ones like the leaf 30 works ok..
