Most likely, the electronic needle valve is clogging up with debris. There is an electronic fuel solenoid that you can disconnect at the bottom of the carburetor. This has a tiny coil-spring and a needle valve that opens and closes with the ignition switch.
This solenoid gets clogged with debris and sometimes you can shake it and gently tap it to shake the debris out. If you can't loosen it up to work freely, you will need to replace it.
You can get these at Walmart or most any small engine repair shop. They sell for around $12.00 to $18.00 depending on where you buy it.
I suspect junk in the gas tank, or rubber fuel line collapsing. Also fuel solenoid if equiped.

SOURCE: motor stops when the pto or cutting blades are turned on or engaged.
you most likely have a bad safety switch. there is one under your seat, one on engagement lever for blades, and probably one or two more in other places.start with the one under your seat by unplugging it and then going ahead with normale start up and implement engagement. you will have found the bad switch when everything works as it should.replace switch if you feel its necessary or just leave unplugged. it will not affect performance or longevity of the tractor
SOURCE: motor chokes and misses under moderate load and loses power
Sounds to me as tho it might need a carburetor adjustment, providing there is an adjustment screw on the carb. Sounds like the engine is running a bit lean. Did this problem occur right after the carb cleaning, or was it there in advance? Is there a fuel filter that might be clogged?
