Spinning is caused by one of the main propellers rotating faster than the other. If both propellers are secured tightly to their drive shafts, the spin control knob on the remote control can be used to stop the spin. However, if one prop is slipping with respect to the other, the spin control knob will not fix the problem.
I've found that the set screws holding the propellers to the drive shafts tend to loosen after a while. If one prop is a bit loose and the other is tight, the relative slippage will cause the helicopter to spin.
To check, turn off helicopter power and manually rotate each propeller separately, watching the nylon gears in the body. If the propeller is moving and its drive shaft gear isn't, the propeller is slipping because its set screws are not applying enough pressure on the propeller's drive shaft.
Carefully tighten the set screw and the problem should be fixed. DON'T OVERTIGHTEN, or the plastic threads for the set screw will be stripped and the propeller assembly will be ruined.

Make sure you used the right blades, the top and bottom blades are different parts and if you try to replace an upper blade with a lower blade it will mess up the flight. The two sets of blades are reversed, the leading edge is on the opposite side because they spin in opposite directions.

If you are sure you have the correct blades, try to eliminate vibrations, especially in the upper rotor. Vibrations can throw off the gyro sensor and cause the helicopter to spin. If it isn't vibrating then you need to adjust the trim. If it is just a slight spin, you can try using the horizontal trim adjustment on the left stick. If this is not able to correct the spin, set the horizontal trim on the left stick to center and then remove the plastic canopy. On the circuit board you will see two screw adjustments labeled "SENS" and "SCALE". First, draw a mark on both of them with a marker making sure to touch both the screw and the plastic or board. This mark will be used to reset the knobs to their original positions if you mess up. The "SENS" (sensitivity) knob adjusts how hard the helicopter responds to the gyro. The "SCALE" (rotor scale) adjusts the balance between the two rotors. If it is a smooth rotation (as opposed to a skittish, jumpy, or erratic rotation), you need to adjust the SCALE knob as one rotor is consistently faster than the other. On the other hand, if it is erratic and jumpy, randomly spinning in quick bursts, you should adjust the SENS knob. Erratic spinning is a result of the gyro detecting vibrations and overcompensating, throwing the helicopter in a circle. Play with these knobs, try just slight adjustments and keep going until it flies right. Have common sense, don't turn the knobs too far at once, just small adjustments will make it easier. Also if turning the knob one direction makes it worse, go the other direction. If you turn the SCALE knob too much you may lose lifting power because it will reduce the maximum power of one of the motors.

9053 bottom blades

Have the same problem with my S107 heli. I determined it's in the speed control hooked to the gyro control. This control feature helps keep heli
from turning in flight caused from tork. The lower blades are the ones
that speed up slow down to keep heli orientated. I'm replacing the control board.

My son's helicopter just spins around and won't lift up anymore. It has been sitting for about a month, but worked fine before that. Any solutions? Could the blades have been bent? They don't look like...

replace batteries with new ones and then you let it spin while you trim it out by pushing rotor button ,for heli that spins clockwise push trim button on left side and a heli that spins counter clockwise push trim button on right side continue pushing the corrective button until spining slows and eventually your sons heli will fly straight again these instructions are in the owners manual

My helicopter wont fly the main propellers on top of the helicopter stopped working

either stripped the main gear inside the heli or the main blades where they slide on the shaft. you should be able to buy a replacement set of blades. try that and see if it'll fly.

Heli will not climb above ground effect, battery tests ok, axles in balance no vibration, just will not climb

I also have this kind of problem with my apache. The upper propeller must spin faster thatn the lower propeller if not the heli would just spin on its tail although maximum power is achieved. The solution is to check the connection of the gears and the axle of the upper propeller which is located at the bottom of the helicopter. remove first the battery pack to see clearly the connection. try to turn the upper propeller a few turns and see if the axle, gear and the metal connector is sliding. A fixed my heli buy putting a permanent glue on the axle, connector to the gear and whalla. it does not slide. Most problems of this model is the gear of the upper propeller, often times loosened specially during crushes. This will a lot help you as your heli would have power on the upper propeller for lift off. Happy flying.

How do i fly my spin master air hog rc helicopter all it does is go in circles

If its a Reflex twin rotor Heli use the trim wheel on top to counteract the spin and at least stabilize the craft at hover. Then use the right/left froward backward fans to control flight, (right joystick on the controller). These fans are not very powerful so don't expect alot from them other than turning the craft right left and reverse. Seems there is too much down draft from the rotors to effectively move the Heli forward. Not a real good design. The Sharpshooter is easier to fly but uses the batteries in the controller as a charger so they don't last real long.

Rotors spin just a little

make sure that the blades are snapped into place and that everything is charged and then make sure the heli is on because if you crash it, it will automatically turn itself off and then make sure no hair is stuck on the bar that spins thats attached to the blades and then try it again
