Minolta dynax 5 camera, diplay has disappeared

Suddenly the display has disappeared, so the camera does not function. When you open the battery compartment and close, display shows "0" and the film icon flashes for few seconds then disappear, same thing happens when you use the rewind button

Hi, thanks for your prompt response. This is not a digital camera. I do have a view finder but I do not see any display in the view finder nor do I see a toggle switch near the view finder. However after fiddling with the camera, I have found the display occasionally do come back only when I open the film compartment then close it at the same time press the portrait icon immediately, the display stays on for a few seconds only. Maybe I need a pair of new Batteries, I shall bur these and try again and get back to you. Thanks again

Does this model have the eye viewer also? if so check and make sure the switch is toggled to displayed and not for the eye viewer. look into the eye viewer and you should see your display. it is simple switch to toggle it to the display mode.

Hello. The batteries on my Minolta Dynax SPxi just died and i wonder how to change them? Do I take them out of the little plastic case or buy a whole new "set" of them? Thanks for any replies

Here is a link to the manual if you need one: http://www.uscamera.com/downloads/maxx3xi-om.pdf

Do not open the battery pack to try and replace the batteries, the are Lithium Ion. Purchase a new battery pack for replacement. Many available on eBay.

Where do you insert a sim card into a minolta maxxum 5 camera

Cameras, especially film cameras, do not use "SIM" cards. There were some models of Minolta film cameras that used exposure cards for auto-settings but only cellular phones and devices with cellular interfaces (iPads) use SIM cards. Here's a copy of the Maxxum 5 manual if that helps.

I need a rechargable battery for my minolta dynax 7000i camera

The Minolta Dynax 7000i uses a 2CR5 battery. This is a disposable lithium battery. As far as I know, there is no rechargeable equivalent.

Shutter won't open

Hello

This does not sound good, it is probably the reflex mirror has fallen off of its pivots, it may or maynot be able to be re fitted.

Best thing is to try and find a repair agent to look at this.

From memory the best place to get Minolta fixed now in the uk is based in Bletchley in Milton Keynes, sorry cannot remember the name of the company
