Yes you can repair a treadmill walking belt. I used a specialty glue that is flexible and super strong. It is used in aeronautical applications so is very strong and importantly flexible. A new belt repair kit on Amazon and Shopify comes with belt patches. The rubber anhydrous adhesive and tapered edges of the patch work well and like a broken bone make the belt stronger than the original. If the belt is completely worn then this will not work. If there is a rip or hole that is localized then a patch works great and avoids the need to replace the entire belt. BTW I have replaced entire belts on several treadmills and it is not for the faint hearted. Many times the new belt either does not fit or the treadmill components that need to be removed break, screws get stripped and plastic components break. Huge job. Fast and inexpensive.

No really. You need to replace the entire walking belt. Not to hard of a job and most replacement belts come with some instructions. We use www.treadmillpartszone.com for parts.

No and I suggest to ge a new belt. a rip means it time for a new belt before you break the rest of the treadmill.; you kwill also need to lube the treadmill deck before you put the belt back on.

How to repair a torn treadmill belt

The first question is whether the tear is inline with the belt rotation or across it. The second question is how the particular make of treadmill you have controls belt tracking.

In general, the "right" answer to this question is to replace, rather than attempt to repair, the belt. You will need to carefully patch the back side of the belt with at least a couple of inches' overlap on all sides, carefully keeping the tear aligned as you do so, and then ensure that the material you used will not damage the deck or rollers, or stretch or start to come loose or fold over as the belt flexes and friction heat develops during running.

Many treadmills use lateral tension in the belt to keep it centered during operation (one or both rollers are gently tapered to be thinner at the ends). Any loss of lateral tension integrity will cause the belt to continue to be separated as it passes over these, perhaps widening or distorting the area of the tear or contributing to belt misalignment or 'walkoff' -- something that the usual dodge of blocking the treadmill slightly on one side won't help.

How do I know if I need a new roller in the back?

Your problem may be as simple as a loose walking belt. It could also be that the belt guides on the underside of the deck is too wide. Ir could also be that your rear roller collapsed (there should be noise in this case) or your rear roller screw is broken or not holding tension for some reason. Try adjusting the belt again. Consider that the belt will move to the side of least resistance so if you tighten the left side the belt will move right and vise versa. Good luck. I have the Incline Trainer X7i. i lost the manual. the belt is tracking to the left and rubbing the side. how do i adjust the tracking to get it back to center?\r\nthank you,

Find the allen key that came with the treadmill. It is used to assemble and adjust the treadmill.
Locate the 2 adjustment screws at the rear of the machine. If the belt is shifting to the left, tighten the left screw (turn clockwise) and the same if the belt goes to the right, tighten the right.
Only turn the screw 1/2 turn and move the belt manually to shift the belt. If it requires more, turn another 1/4 turn, very little adjustment may be required to straighten the belt. Once the belt stops rubbing, start the machine running slowly (1-2 mph) and observe the belt FROM DIRECTLY BEHIND THE MACHINE. Carefully adjust the rear roller till the belt is as close to center as possible making small adjustments, 1/8-1/4 turn clockwise of the adjustment screws.

Everything seems to work fine except a small slip in the track about every 30 seconds or so. Is there something that needs to be tightened?

The walking belt may be too loose. If you have made recent adjustments, lubricated, or had repairs, a belt can slip if not tightened. The belt can slip if you have too much friction or if the belt has been recently lubricated. If lube does not help your problem and you have exhausted all other possibilities, the walking belt is most likely worn out and must be replaced.
To adjust the belt: Less Belt Tension: turn both adjustment bolts on back of treadmill in a counter-clockwise direction. More Belt Tension: Turn both adjustment bolts equally in a clockwise direction. Center Adjustment (moves belt center to the left): Turn left-side adjustment bolt counter-clockwise. Center Adjustment (moves belt center to the right): Turn the left-side adjustment bolt clockwise.
An over tightened walking belt can raise the amp draw of your treadmill, contribute to seam separation on the walking belt, or both, so do not over tighten the walking belt.
You should be able to lift the belt in the center on the side by approximately 2” to 3”, if you cannot lift it by 2” to 3”, the belt is too tight.

How do i tighten my belt ..it goes from one side to the other

First check that the treadmill is level. Then adjust levelers if possible. Most treadmills will have a bolt at the rear of the tail roller one each side to adjust belt tracking. If it is tracking to the left tighten the left , for each adjustment on one side make equal and opposite adjustment on the other side to avoid over tightening the belt. 1/4 turn at a time
