SOURCE: Faceplate Broken, would like to get a different type

I have a faceplate for this model that I'm trying to sell.  As we speak, I'm putting it on craigslist and ebay.
I don't have the actual CD player, all I have is the faceplate.  Email me if you want to buy it.

SOURCE: Another one with Faceplate buttons not working?

The capacitors in these plates tend to burn out quickly for being so hot and lack of air cooling circulation. You can test all connection pins on the deck and faceplate with an ohmmeter in ohm setting to see which pins is not sending 25-30 ohms or 5 volts of power

My pioneer deh-p960mp the screen behind the faceplate went out, what do i need to fix it ??

You need a ribbon cable replacement to the faceplate at the very least.

It's my understanding that there is an ribbon cable that needs to be replaced - it's Pioneer CNP6498 flex cable (CN871 to CN1801) at pacparts.com. Price is less than $9.00, but shipping there is crippling to say the least ($11.50 - WTF??!?!?!)

IF you find that the detachable faceplate also does not work, there is an additional ribbon cable that needs to be replaced. Try "DEH-P960MP" on ebay and you can find a replacement for less than $30 shipped. I received mine in 2 days and had it up and running within 20 minutes. It solved the problem.
