Make Sure the Paper Trays Are Configured With the Correct Paper Size, Type, and Color
To configure settings for Paper Trays 1 and 2
Open the paper tray.
Make sure that the required paper stock is loaded in the paper tray, and that the paper edge guides are adjusted properly to fit the size of the paper.
Close the paper tray. The Printer Settings screen will be displayed on the Touch Screen.
Select [Size], and then select the size of paper loaded in the tray. If this is a standard size paper, the correct size will be selected automatically if the paper guides are adjusted correctly. If necessary, select [Custom] to enter the paper size if the required size is not displayed and then enter the required X and Y values.
Select [Save].
Select [Type], and then select the type of paper loaded in the tray.
Select [Color], and then select the color of paper loaded in the tray.
My first idea would be to clean the feed roll . I am not sure what more to tell you right now without knowing where it is jaming.
You may also want to confirm that the machine is displaying the proper paper size and proper orientation in the paper tray. Often times if the paper is stopping, without the paper being damaged, the tray settings are incorrect. Look on the machine display and confirm the proper paper size and orientation. Those trays flex a lot and that simply may be your problem.
It sounds as if the document feeder is not recognizing the proper size of paper. Try making a copy, is the copy correct or is the copier indicating to load a certain size of paper. The paper width guides as well as the raised tabs on the document feeder tell the copier the proper paper size. Could the problem be on the other end? I know I have several customers that have the paper size dials or indicators incorrect for the paper in their cassettes. This would be if only a single reciever of your fax is complaining. You may want to see if rotating the fax in the LTR-R direction works.
Your printer paper tray paper size is not set properly. Check the paper tray side guide and make sure it is adjusted properly to size of the paper you are trying to print. If this is a printer go to print property or printing preference and select the paper size. I hope this will help you solve the problem.
Change the default setting for the paper size on your computer to letter. The paper size need to match on the printer and computer for it to work properly.
just leave your paper type as Plain Paper, and if your printing out a
5R size photo or photo sizes not exceed on Letter size paper, just
leave the paper sizes using Letter, print on both sides set as OFF.
then just customize the printing quality for a good printing result.
then load or place your photo paper properly on the paper tray to avoid jam.
Check the guides in the paper tray to make sure they match up to the proper position for your paper size. If for instance the paper tray is set to A1 by accident and you are using letter paper, then you request to print on letter sized paper the printer will think it doesn't have letter paper available and will ask for some. The position of the guides in the paper tray are what tells the printer what size paper is in that tray. Otherwise your paper settings in the paper meny are wrong as this can override the paper tray settings, check them to make sure they match the paper size in the trays also.
First make sure that the machine is reading/ seeing the paper size of the paper that is in the tray ( select tray 1 from the touch screen and see what the paper size reads). If the machine sees a different size then that in the tray, use the 'user tools' and change the paper for that tray. Also, go into your printer settings on/in your computer and make sure that the proper paper size is selected ( the size that is in the tray you want to print from). If the orientation of the paper size is different from the tray -- will not print and give you the error.
