Driver download Hi I can not get my camera to shake hands with my lptp? nor can i find the drivers or any sort of an update? I'd be very grateful for any help? thank you! OH! {XP} thanks!

If your camera is not accessible that means your DRIVER is missing or is outdated.
To update the driver double-click on MY COMPUTER > PROPERTIES > HARDWARE > DEVICE MANAGER and select your camera (VIDEO DEVICE); right-click on it and in PROPERTIES select UPDATE DRIVER.
If this procedure won't work then you have to get a sort of driver detector to identify and to download the right driver for you. I'd suggest you to download DRIVER MAGICIAN Lite from HERE, to install it and to let it detect your driver.
There's another website where you can run an online check fro your missing driver. It's HERE and choose the middle option (IDENTIFY YOUR DRIVER).
Also I'd suggest you (if nothing from above will NOT WORK!) to check the electric connections to your webcam. But this procedure involves to open your Notebook.

I too have recently purchased the same camera and mine isnt 'talking' to my PC either. First I was told that the software was internal and upon taking it back I am now told to download the driver - of which I cant locate even on the Olympus website. I am still waiting on Olympus to get back to me. Have you found a solution as yet?

goto this website http://support.creative.com/Products/Products.aspx?catid=218 choose the exact model of camera and you will be taken to the Drivers needed for that camera to work download the correct driver for your computer windows version and install - all should now work
OR you can use the auto update - click on your model from the list, and scroll down to the bottom of the page on the right hand side, you will see an Auto Update button

Bought a new camera

The issue is that XP installs generic USB webcam driver after downgrade. To solve this issue download Camera driver from VAIO support website esupport.sony.com and unzip that.
When this is done check device menaged and you will find composite device under Universal serial bus controllers.Right click on composite device and select "update driver" then select "I will select driver to install myself" and then browse to the folder with camera driver. Camera driver will be installed and issue sorted!

drivers for this cam may be found on the radio shack website... go to this page and click on the 'Software Downloads' link in the left-hand menu. you'll find 3 download links there, the one for vista should be the middle link... you can see for sure by hovering your mouse cursor over the link.

Yes just search for the drivers for your laptop online by typing hpsupport.com the click on the notebooks option and select drivers download then you specify the make of your laptop and then download the audio drivers and install them on your notebook.
