Check to see if the cover open switch is stuck or the is anything blocking the closing motion, rectify.

I don't know of any regular printer that scans negatives. Check your printer manual to see if it's designed to print negatives. You can get devices that will do that, but I'm not certain any regular printer will. If you don't have a manual you can look up your model online to find out more.

Its the lock mechanism under the lid , lift the top to the scan bed and look at the lower right hand side of the inside of the lid there is a grey swithch , move it to unlock! Voila , fixed.

Try shutting down your computer and then unplug from the power source. Wait a minute then plug it back in and turn on the computer.

Accept the driver installation even though it does not pass Windows Logo testing. Just accept it and continue with the installation.
